When I watched Psycho Goreman, the nightmare scene... I TOTALLY expected that final scene to last for 15 seconds. I mean, they even had a verbal setup in the 'We wait for this dream to conclude.' And... nothing. I love the movie but damn... that seemed like a terribly missed opportunity to me.

The ending of Promising Young Woman was my favorite part of the movie. It "made" the movie for me. However, I didn't like how on the nose the messaging of the movie is. All throughout it feels like it's lecturing you.

I believe Promising Young Woman is one of the best I’ve seen in years. Perhaps as a female, familiar to the subject matter, a film buff, and psychologically understanding that she had nothing left to live for.

man i gota say its really weird those producers made that movie because im with J on there previous ones and how good they were. resolution is a little slow but it gets really really good. there is also a sequel to resolution thats even better. and then i see this and im like .....huh ? weird XD the movie cant stick with a theme or reason for any thing.

P.S. that 'Promising Young Woman' storyline sounds like the main character has horrific behaviour. Couldn't sit through such Far-Left cringe. MY least favorite genre is the "were making an exploitation film wink wink," genre. Those movies tend to reference films that actually pushed barriers, and took risks while not actually making a good movie. Having a love on 80's does not a good film maker make.

After watching "Promising Young Woman" I also got a "Heathers" feeling! Although I thought that it's just because it's one of my favorite movies and I compare EVERYTHING to "Heathers".

Finally watched Promising Young Woman and I honestly fucking loved it. I wouldn't mind if it won Best Picture and I surely would love to see Mulligan win for Best Actress. Either her or Vanessa Kirby.

So I know nothing about Psycho Goreman, so the last clip shown mad me laugh my ass off pretty hard. I am sold on the fact that I have to watch this movie.

I completely agree with Mike regarding Psycho Goreman as I am in the middle too. I was waiting for some kind of punishment or consequence for Mimi's actions, I get that would not be funny, but I hated the charachter so much by the end. They made her personality complete garbage, I was half expecting the movie to tell that she has some kind of mental problem. There are some jokes here and there that are good, but the actual awesomely executed parts were the practical effects(favourite was when PG eats bodies).

So they watched Black Widow, The War with Grandpa and Billy & Mandy: The Movie? Interesting, I do wonder why they always put different titles in the video title...

I see why they don't review comedies often. When you picking apart jokes, the end point is simply "I didn't find that funny" vs "I find that funny." And that's hardly something that someone can relate to unless you know you share similar senses of humor.
